Zoe-perry

Perry was born to actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Her first appearance was in the television screen in the role of Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in Roseanne, an ABC comedy Roseanne. She was not allowed to start acting in front of her family until she reached the age of adulthood because they were afraid of the stress it would create. Perry shy and timid to perform in the high school, started to act at Northwestern University because she wanted to meet new people. Perry made her debut with New York after graduation, landing minor roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, the feeling of homelessness made Perry return to California and find work as a theater actress. Perry was a part of Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. The show featured the father of her character Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 on The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry was a part of nine episodes of ABC's drama The Family. In 2017, Perry played a supporting role in ABC's political thriller Scandal in which her father was the main character. The actress also portrayed the older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - an CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. Despite having a family connection to the character she got the part through an audition.
